Suggested Items to Pack
Please limit your luggage to one suitcase and one small tote bag. Anything beyond that will be stored and returned at discharge. Wellbridge is not responsible for any valuables, including jewelry, that are brought and stored at the facility. Any valuables stored at Wellbridge are done so at the patient’s own risk.
Will I be able to use my cell phone or computer?
In order to focus 100% on your treatment and wellness, patients will have limited access to phones and computers while at Wellbridge. There will be designated times throughout the week when you will be able to use your cell phone or conduct essential business. It is recommended that you bring a list of contact information with you.
Are personal laptops permitted?
You are able to use your personal laptop, but only during specific hours of the day or evening.
Is smoking permitted?
At Wellbridge, we understand the difficulties maintaining abstinence from nicotine and we will work with you to manage this during your stay. We are happy to discuss this with you via phone or in person.
Will I be able to exercise?
We have an 11,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art wellness and fitness center on campus that includes a full weight room, cardiovascular training equipment, Pilates and yoga. In addition, we offer men’s and women’s steam rooms, locker rooms, serenity pools and relaxation areas. With the permission of your treatment team, you will have access to all of these facilities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, some services may not be offered for your own security.
Am I able to bring my guitar?
Music, as well as other creative arts like painting, ceramics and dance, are an integral component of treatment and recovery. Musical instruments are available in our Center for Creative Arts, but with the permission of your treatment team you may bring your own.
Can special dietary requirements be accommodated?
Yes, our registered dietitian will work closely with you in developing a meal plan that meets your exact needs.
Will I have a roommate?
Wellbridge offers both private and double rooms.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed on campus.
Do you accept insurance?
We are in network with Empire BlueCross BlueShield, United Behavioral Health and Cigna for all levels of care. In addition, we help you access all of your available out-of-network benefits from insurance plans you may have. Wellbridge will help complete any claim forms your insurance provider requires.
What is the cost?
Everyone has different treatment needs and cost varies based on type of program and length of stay. Our admissions team or patient accounts coordinator are happy to assist you with a cost estimate or verify your current insurance benefits.
From New York City:
Take I-495 (Long Island Expressway) eastbound to exit 69, Wading River Road, Manorville. At the top of the exit ramp, turn left onto Schultz Rd. Proceed north 3.1 miles to Swan Pond Road. Turn right and immediately bear onto Grumman Blvd. Go straight for 1.9 miles and turn left onto Burman Blvd. After 0.75 miles, turn right onto Jan Way. You will find Wellbridge at the very end of Jan Way.
From Eastern Long Island:
Follow Route 27 westbound to exit 62, Route 111, Manorville. Proceed north 3.1 miles on Rte 111 (Eastport Manor Road) to Halsey Manor Road. At the traffic light, turn right and take Halsey Manor Road 1.3 miles. Continue straight for 1.7 miles on Connecticut Ave and turn left onto River Road for 0.5 miles. Continue straight on Grumman Blvd for another 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Burman Blvd. After 0.75 miles, turn right onto Jan Way. You will find Wellbridge at the very end of Jan Way.
There is ample visitor parking on campus.
Do you provide transportation?
Transportation should not prevent anyone from receiving treatment at Wellbridge. Please talk to one of our admissions counselors about how we can assist you with your journey.

What are the visiting hours?
Visitation can occur up to two times per week, based on a shared decision with the patient and the treatment team. We have weekday and weekend visitation times, Wednesdays from 5:00–8:00pm and Sundays from 2:30–4:30pm. Currently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety of our patients, we do not offer visitation.
Where is Wellbridge located?
Wellbridge Addiction Treatment and Research is located in Calverton, NY, just 70-miles from New York City. It is accessible from all major NYC airports, highways and ferry service from Bridgeport and New London, Connecticut.
What is the size of the Wellbridge Campus?
Wellbridge is located on a private, 96-acre campus surrounded by pine forests.
How old is Wellbridge?
Wellbridge opened in May 2020. All buildings and facilities are brand new and incorporate the latest architectural and technology innovations.
How many patients are there at Wellbridge?
Wellbridge has the capacity to comfortably house 80 patients. But since it is a new facility, we do not anticipate full capacity before 2022.
How many people work at Wellbridge?
There are more than 100 addiction professionals and support staff at Wellbridge. Our staff to patient ratio is approximately 3:1.
