We’re Here for You

At Wellbridge, we offer drug abuse and alcohol screening led by a provider. By working with providers and clinicians, you will receive a diagnosis. Because we are here to help you take your life back after substance abuse, you will then be supported through detox and treatment.

The self-assessment tool below is meant for educational purposes only. While it is designed to inform and can be an eye-opener to your behavior, it is not intended for self-diagnosis of any condition. Only a licensed healthcare professional can give a complete substance use assessment and diagnosis.

Instead, these questionnaires are designed to provide insight. Use this self-assessment tool to examine your behaviors and the nature of your substance use or the substance use of a loved one.

Accredited & Trusted Care

In the world of addiction treatment, accreditation confirms that the services meet professional standards. These standards are established by both the state and reputable industry-leading organizations, such as the Department of Health and Human Services and the Mental Health Services Administration.

For Long Island rehab centers and treatment facilities to be awarded accreditation from third-party sources, we must undergo a series of detailed evaluations and interviews, as well as an audit of the treatment center as a whole.

Choosing the best treatment option for you or your loved one is already overwhelming. Accreditation provides peace of mind about your treatment choices and confidence in the solutions offered.

Renewal & Transformation Through Evidence-Based Addiction Treatment

Wellbridge is an addiction treatment facility that offers a fresh new perspective on treatment. Our approach promotes collaboration between evidence-based research and patient-focused clinical care. We aim to bridge gaps in support and accelerate personal breakthroughs. These breakthroughs make a significant difference in treatment and are stepping stones to long-term recovery.

Our Drug and Alcohol Rehab on Long Island

At Wellbridge, we offer treatment programs that support long-term recovery from substance use disorder and mental health disorders.

Medical Stabilization

During the detox and withdrawal stage of recovery, comfort and attentive care are paramount. Applying a full range of innovative interventions and medication schedules to alleviate symptoms and maintain safety is crucial to the comfort and safety of those withdrawing from substances. At Wellbridge, we call this phase medical stabilization, as it utilizes medical primary care to help you become stable and ready for change.

Pursuing Personal Breakthroughs With Evidence-Based Therapy

The backbone of any inpatient detoxification or rehab program is therapeutic interventions. This is due to the effectiveness of therapy as a powerful tool. Therapeutic interventions empower patients to identify harmful patterns. These patterns lead to alcohol and substance use. Through therapeutic intervention, we equip them with alternative coping skills.

Addiction recovery requires space for personal reflection, guided habit alignment, establishing healthy patterns, and a renewed motivation to pursue sober living. Every patient’s addiction treatment program is custom-tailored to fit individual needs, but may include many of the following therapies and addiction treatment services:

Medical and Psychiatric Consultation

Contingency Management

Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET)

Seeking Safety

Group Therapies

Psychotherapy

Relapse Prevention

Self-Management and Recovery Training (SMART)

FAQs

Why do I need a drug use screening test?

A drug use screening test, or screener, is essential as it provides you and your provider with information that informs treatment. Questions like “What drugs have you used in the past year?” help your provider to create an effective treatment plan that is based on where you are in your treatment journey. Additionally, it often includes a self-report on mental health, which helps your provider best address your unique challenges.

When your provider is well-informed about your drug use history, they are better able to support you in treatment. As a patient, this is very valuable. Treatment that effectively addresses every aspect of your substance abuse is more likely to be effective for long-term recovery. The drug use screening test is the first step on your journey to recovery.

How does a substance abuse assessment tool work?

A substance abuse assessment tool is a combination of structured questionnaires, a self-report on drug use, a self-report on mental health symptoms, and an interview. As a whole, the assessment tools are used to gather information, helping providers determine whether you are at high risk for any specific challenges in treatment, and providing information that dictates the treatment program. For example, a brief screener for tobacco, alcohol, and other drug problems (BSTAD) is a quick way to identify high-risk behavior in adolescents. While screening tools like a drug abuse screening test help to identify substance abuse.

What can someone expect to pay at a drug and alcohol rehab center in New York?

Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual, making it challenging to estimate the total expected cost of attending a drug or alcohol addiction treatment center. We are an in-network provider with multiple insurance carriers, and coverage often covers most or all of the treatment expenses. However, we also offer payment out of pocket.

Do you offer outpatient services?

No, we do not offer outpatient services. However, we offer services across multiple levels of care that begin with the highest acuity, medical stabilization and detox, progress to inpatient rehabilitation, and eventually, aftercare planning. At the aftercare stage, we can help you find the necessary outpatient services at another program to step down to if needed.

How long does residential treatment last at your Long Island treatment center?

We offer a comprehensive residential program that includes medical detoxification, followed by a 28-30‑day treatment curriculum. Currently, the average length of stay (including detox-only and full‑program patients) is approximately 20 days. However, when planning individual solutions for alcohol and substance abuse treatment programs, no two plans are exactly alike.

At Wellbridge, we prioritize effective treatment. We do so not only with evidence-based treatments and a holistic perspective on treatment, but also through individualized care. Every patient we treat receives a unique treatment program to address their needs.
