About Quinn Regula, LMHC, MHCD
Quinn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with more than 20 years of experience in behavioral health. Throughout his career, he has worked consistently with individuals navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns, with specialized experience providing affirming, culturally responsive care to LGBTQIA+ individuals and other underserved communities. As a therapist on the Healthcare Professionals Track, Quinn understands that recovery is rarely just about stopping substance use. For healthcare professionals, addiction can become deeply intertwined with identity, perfectionism, high expectations, burnout, trauma, shame, relationships, and the pressure to appear capable even when struggling internally. His work creates space for patients to look beneath the surface of addiction and better understand the experiences, patterns, and emotional needs that have shaped their relationship with substances. Quinn brings a collaborative, thoughtful, and relational style to therapy. His approach integrates trauma-informed care with motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapies, while increasingly incorporating psychodynamic perspectives that explore how past experiences and relationships influence present-day patterns. He views recovery as more than symptom reduction—it is an opportunity to develop greater self-awareness, restore trust in oneself and others, strengthen resilience and accountability, and build a life that feels both authentic and sustainable. Committed to continued clinical growth, Quinn is pursuing postgraduate education in psychotherapy at Adelphi University. Above all, he strives to help patients feel genuinely understood while also challenging them to recognize their strengths, deepen their understanding of themselves, and create a meaningful foundation for lasting recovery.
