Howard Tieger, LCSW

Howard (Howie) Tieger, LCSW has been a social worker since 1994 and has extensive experience working in outpatient mental health and substance use disorder clinics. Prior to joining the Wellbridge team in March 2026, Howie held the position of Clinical Supervisor at a local, outpatient, substance use disorder treatment facility where he worked for the past ten years. Howie’s education includes a BSW from Stony Brook School of Social Welfare and an MSW from Adelphi University School of Social Work. During his Master’s program and since then, Howie has taken many specialty courses in the treatment of substance use disorders. Howie is very experienced in group work, individual treatment and family treatment as well as case management and psycho education. In his current position as a primary therapist, Howie is responsible for the Professional’s track. Howie is very passionate about treating people with substance use disorder in order to help them to live a more satisfying and fulfilling life, free of addiction.
