About Amanda Davis, LMSW

Amanda Davis is a Licensed Master Social Worker and Primary Therapist at Wellbridge, where she provides individual and group therapy to individuals receiving treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Her responsibilities include treatment planning, family work, relapse prevention, recovery planning, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to support patients throughout treatment and continuing care. Amanda earned her Master of Social Work from Stony Brook University and has a professional background spanning mental health, education, developmental disabilities, vocational services, and community-based care. Her previous experience includes counseling and school social work internships, as well as roles with FREE (Family Residences and Essential Enterprises), Long Island Home/South Oaks Hospital, SCO Family of Services, and the Islip School District. These experiences have provided her with a broad perspective on the social, emotional, and environmental factors that influence wellbeing and recovery. A particular area of interest in Amanda’s clinical practice is the mind-body connection. At Wellbridge, she facilitates From Surviving to Stability, a group grounded in somatic principles that helps patients develop greater awareness of physical sensations, emotions, stress responses, and their connection to recovery. She is currently pursuing her CASAC certification and certification as a Somatic Therapy Foundations Practitioner. Outside of Wellbridge, Amanda teaches Somatic Slow Flow yoga and maintains a personal practice of movement, mindfulness, and meditation. She values approaches that support greater self-awareness, connection, and overall wellbeing. In her free time, she enjoys nature, hiking, music and concerts, reading, traveling, continued learning, and spending time with family and friends.
